Jill A. Rebuck, Pharm.D, BCPS, FCCM, is a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the Inpatient Pharmacy at Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Previously, Dr. Rebuck was the Surgical Critical Care Pharmacist Clinician in the Department of Pharmacotherapy at Fletcher Allen Health Care and an Associate Professor of Surgery and the Director of Surgical Research in the Division of Trauma/Critical Care at the College of Medicine of the University of Vermont, in Burlington, Vermont.
After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Rebuck completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital and University Health Center in Detroit, Michigan. This was followed by a Critical Care Specialty Residency at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver, Colorado, and a 2-year Critical Care Pharmacotherapy Fellowship at the University of Nebraska College of Pharmacy in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Rebuck is actively engaged in leadership, including serving as the current Chair of the Society of Critical Care Medicine Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section and President-Elect of the Vermont Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She is board certified in Pharmacotherapy and has been awarded fellowship in the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Rebuck has spoken at numerous regional and national scientific and professional meetings on critical care topics of interest, including those related to trauma, hemostasis, and neurological injury. Dr. Rebuck has published over 80 original research abstracts and scientific articles in leading medical and pharmacy journals. She has received various research, practice, and teaching awards, including Pharmacist of the Year.

Ira A. Shulman, M.D. received his medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pathology and a fellowship in blood banking/transfusion medicine at the Los Angeles County+USC (LAC+USC) Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Shulman is Professor and Vice Chair of Pathology and Director of Transfusion Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the USC, located in Los Angeles. He is also Director of Laboratories and Pathology at the LAC+USC Medical Center and Medical Director of the blood bank at the USC Kenneth Norris Cancer Hospital. Dr. Shulman is the author or coauthor of more than 100 papers, monographs, and book chapters, most of which deal with the clinical and laboratory practice of transfusion medicine.
Dr. Shulman has been active in various professional organizations, including the AABB (formerly known as the American Association of Blood Banks), the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management (SABM), and the California Blood Bank Society (CBBS). He has served as chair of several national organizations’ committees, including the AABB Clinical Transfusion Medicine Committee, the Transfusion Medicine Resource Committee of the CAP, and the Council on Transfusion Medicine for the ASCP. He has served on the board of directors of AABB, SABM, and CBBS. He is currently the Editor and Moderator of an internationally subscribed transfusion medicine discussion group called the e-Network Forum that is considered the premier educational program for distance learning (and networking) in transfusion medicine.
